Northern Michigan and the Great Lakes region have become popular golf destinations, but most people arrive there by car or plane. Now there’s another option.
Tour operator PerryGolf is marketing a seven-night, five-round Great Lakes cruise from Toronto to Duluth, Minn., Aug. 22-29, 2009.
The cruise will stop at the following courses: Grand Niagara Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario; Essex Golf & Country Club in LaSalle, Ontario; Cobble Beach Golf Links in Owen Sound, Ontario; Bay Harbor in Harbor Springs, Mich.; and Arcadia Bluffs in Arcadia, Mich.
Prices per person range from $5,595 to $10,695. Passengers have the option of extending the stay three nights at The American Club resort in Kohler Wis., for an additional fee.
Passengers will sail on the Cliela II, an all-suite ship that accommodates 100 guests. The same ship also will be used on a 10-day Canadian golf cruise that includes five rounds of golf.
PerryGolf also is selling space on cruises this year and next in Europe and South Africa.
