SAN FRANCISCO – With the second day of the Presidents Cup down to just one match, everyone moved toward the 18th green to await the Lucas Glover-Stewart Cink vs. Tim Clark-Vijay Singh competition.
By “everyone,” we mean even those who were part of the International Team, too. Players, wives, friends, members of the coaching staff . . . they secured prime spots up front. Good for them, not so good for folks sitting in the lower rows of the stands.
“The gallery would like to see, too,” yelled a fan, and when a few more catcalls rang out, the players got the hint.
But give them credit, they did as they were asked and got down so that the crowd could watch.
