Miles Curley has given a verbal commitment to Virginia Tech. Curley also made unofficial visits to Winthrop, Wofford and the College of Charleston.
Curley was looking for a place to advance his game, and said he thinks Virginia Tech provides the best opportunity for him to do that.
“Between the facilities and the coaches, it should help a lot,” he said.
Curley also is looking forward to playing the Pete Dye River Course once he arrives on campus.
Curley, of Rock Hill, S.C., finished fifth at the North & South Junior over the summer, and also won the Metro Junior, played in Charlotte, N.C.
