Scott Kim has given a verbal commitment to play college golf at Oregon State. Kim decided on Oregon State after considering Washington, Gonzaga and Idaho.
“I like Coach (Jon) Reehoorn and Oregon State is a Pac-10 school, which is one of the best conferences for golf.”
Recently Kim finished tied for sixth at the AJGA Emerson Junior Golf Classic and won a Northwest Junior Golf Tour event at Palouse Ridge in Pullman, Wash.
Kim, who is ranked No. 144 in the 2011 class and is the third-ranked junior in the state of Washington, is a senior at Hanford High School in Richland, Wash.
