Danny Pizetoski, who is the ninth-ranked junior golfer in the state of North Carolina, has given a verbal commitment to play golf at the University of Richmond.
“I chose Richmond because it is an up-and-coming team,” Pizetoski said. “Coach (Adam) Decker is great and the coach and practice facility can really help me get my game to the next level. Also, the school has great academics and it is just far enough away from home.”
Pizetoski, who attends Mecklenburg High School and lives in Davidson, N.C., also visited UNC-Charlotte, South Florida, UNC-Greensboro, Virginia, Wofford and James-Madison.
Pizetoski placed tied for fifth place at the Big “I” Junior Classic, seventh at the Bubba Conlee and eighth at the AJGA Golf Pride Junior Classic.
