Ga. Q-School qualifier tightens up

The Johns Creek, Ga., first-stage qualifier for Tour Q-School features the tightest race for medalist honors, as Jason Millard shot 67 to move to 15 under as he caught second-round leader Richy Werenski.

Jonathan Hodge remains a shot back of the lead, with Adam Hart and Blake Palmer at 12 under.

Depending on the site, between 27 and 32 players from each qualifier will advance to second stage, fighting for a trip to Q-School in December.

Here are the leaders at the other sites:

• GAUTIER, Miss. – Brian Maurer remains in the lead, a shot ahead of Michael Hebert and two ahead of J.T. Griffin and Hunter Hamrick.

• LANTANA, Texas – Alex Carpenter’s 65 moved him to 15 under and a shot clear of Toni Hakula and Blake Redmond.

• THE WOODLANDS, Texas – At 13 under, Ken Looper holds a three-shot lead over five players as second-round leader Cory Whitsett fell four shots back.

• NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. – Mike Van Sickle stretched his lead to four shots over T.J. Mitchell, with Nate Barbee and Charlie Winegardner five back.

• MARICOPA, Ariz. – Eric Meierdierks fell three shots back of Steve Saunders, who shot 61, with Andre Metzger seven shots off the lead.
