After six consecutive top-5 finishes without a win, Oklahoma finally prevailed on Sunday.

The Sooners won the Aggie Invitational with a 20-over 884 total and three-shot victory.

“It was a great week for us as we got our first win of the year,” Oklahoma coach Ryan Hybl said in a release. “We didn’t play great, but we played good enough this week. This golf course is hard and our guys hung in all week. We are excited about bringing some hardware back to Norman.”

Oklahoma, ranked 16th in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, was led by freshman Grant Hirschman, who tied for seventh at 5-over 221. Senior Michael Gellerman also posted a top-10 finish with a 222 total.

No. 10 Texas Tech (887) finished in second followed by No. 32 Arkansas (888), No. 6 LSU (891) and No. 41 Texas A&M (894).

Earning his first collegiate victory was California’s K.K. Limbhasut, who won the individual title at Traditions Club. He shot 73-69-72 for a 2-under 214 total and a two-shot win over Arkansas’ Kolton Crawford.

Limbhasut is the second consecutive Cal player to win the Aggie Invitational after Brandon Hagy won in 2014.

Texas Tech’s Wes Artac and Texas A&M’s Ben Crancer tied for third at 2 over.
