Soomin Lee took a three-shot lead with a 7-under 65 during the second round of the Shenzhen International at Genzon Golf Club.
Heavy rains required two separate delays that totaled nearly six hours, causing 35 players to not start their second rounds by the time play was suspended.
Two players who did finish their rounds, however, were Lee and Joost Luiten, who sits three shots back of Lee after posting a 6-under 66.
“I feel this course is good for me because of the soft greens and then heavy rough. I like heavy rough, so that’s good for me,” Lee said.
“I have two more days to also try to be bogey free.”
Paul Dunne and Brandon Stone are tied for third at 7 under. Lee Slattery and Alexander Levy each are one shot further back at 6 under overall, though Slattery was 4 under in the five holes he completed, and Levy parred his only three holes of the day.
Bubba Watson, the best of four Americans in the field, sits T-23 at 2 under after finishing just one hole in his second round before play was suspended.
