Keiser University won its third NAIA women’s golf title on Friday. However, the national championship was its first as Keiser University.

After winning the NAIA title last season, Northwood University, located in West Palm Beach, Fla., underwent a name change after being acquired by Keiser.

New name, same result.

The Seahawks shot 23-over 599 in the weather-shortened, 36-hole championship at Savannah Quarters in Pooler, Ga., and won by 11 shots over Williams Woods and Savannah College of Art and Design.

Keiser has now won in each of its last three trips to Savannah Quarters, including last year’s NAIA Championship. The Seahawks, who also won the NAIA title in 2003, were led this year by Elsa Westin, who placed second at 2 under, two shots behind individual champion Kaitlyn Riley of Cumberlands.
