Smith dominates in North & South victory

Reigning Australian Amateur champion Kristie Smith finished her amateur career by winning the Women’s North & South Amateur Championship Sunday defeating Georgetown’s Chelsea Curtis, 8 and 7.

Curtis won the first hole in the morning match and never led again. Smith had a 2-up lead after 18 holes and was 5 up after 24 holes.
 
“It’s been a special week,” Smith said. “To win at Pinehurst is awesome.”
