No. 3 USC dominated the Women’s Pac-10 Championship, winning the program’s first conference championship since 1989.

The Trojans finished at 8-over 860 at Palos Verdes Golf Club, 26 shots ahead of top-ranked UCLA. USC entered the final round with a nine-stroke lead, then shot 1-under 283 Wednesday, the low round of the day by 17 shots.

USC’s Paola Moreno, No. 36 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, won the individual title. She finished at 1-under 212 after a tournament-low 67 in the final round. Moreno was runner-up in the 2007 NCAA Division I Women’s Championship.

Arizona State’s Anna Nordqvist was second at 3 over par after a final-round 72.

All five of USC’s players finished in the top eight. Belen Mozo (75) and 2006 NCAA champion Dewi Claire Schreefel (69) tied with UCLA’s Tiffany Joh (75) for third place at 217. USC freshman Lizette Salas (73) finished sixth at 5 over par.

Final scores with relation to par from the Pac-10 Championship, played April 21-23 at the par-71, 6,060-yard Palos Verdes Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.:
