U.S. Junior sites set for 2010, 2011
GOLFWEEK STAFFEgypt Valley Country Club in Ada, Mich., will host the 2010 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash., will host the 2011 event, the U.S. Golf Association announced Wednesday.
Egypt Valley hosted a Champions Tour event from 1994-2005, as well as many USGA qualifiers. The U.S. Junior will be played on the inward nines of both the Ridge and Valley courses, which was designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1990.
Golden Mountain’s Olympic Course, which will host the 2011 Junior, also hosted the 2006 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.
The dates of the 2010 U.S. Junior are July 19-24. The dates of the 2011 Junior are July 18-23.
The 2009 U.S. Junior Amateur will be conducted July 20-25 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.
