MADISON, Miss. – John Daly is back.

Daly, what’s left of him, is at the Viking Classic, making his first PGA Tour start since Aug. 23 and only seventh of the year. Wild Thing had announced in early September that he was not going to compete the rest of the year because of a recurring rib injury.

But Daly said here that a stem-cell injection has helped heal him and he feels good enough to play again.

What’s more, Daly’s weight is down to 190 pounds. That means he has lost 100 pounds since undergoing lap-band surgery.

Lap-band. Stem cell.

“I’m trying everything,” JD said.

I am glad to see that John Daly is trimming down. But, I also think that the sudden weight loss is very quick. But, that is just my opinion. I wish John Daly the best for the coming year. I hope to see him at the Masters next year.
