Virginia’s Jennie Arseneault shot 71 Tuesday to earn medalist honors at the North & South Women’s Amateur.

Arseneault, who won the Women’s Western Amateur earlier this year, finished at 4-under 141 on Pinehurst’s No. 2 and 8 courses. UCLA’s Ryann O’Toole finished second at 3-under 142 (66-76). Australia’s Kristie Smith was third at 143 (71-72).

Notables who made match play include Duke’s Jennie Lee, U.S. Women’s Open participant Kathleen Ekey of Alabama, UCF freshman Marika Lendl, Wake Forest freshman Cheyenne Woods, Arizona State’s Jennifer Osborn and two-time U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur champion Meghan Bolger.
