The sophomore won the East Regional to become the Gamecocks’ first individual regional champion in 13 years. Toumpsin rebounded from a quadruple bogey on No. 16 in the final round to birdie her final two holes for a 4-over 76 at the University of Georgia Golf Course. She finished at 2-under 212, a shot ahead of Duke’s Amanda Blumenherst and Louisville’s Sara-Maude Juneau. The victory was the first of Toumpsin’s college career.

Maria Jose Uribe finished as co-medalists at the Central Regional at the University of Texas Golf Club. The pair finished at 8-under 208, which set an individual school record at Purdue. The Bruins won the team title.

Alison Walshe tied for medalist honors at the West Regional at Lincoln (Calif.) Golf Club. The pair finished at 6-under 210, which was the second-lowest score in UNLV history. For Walshe, is was her third victory of the year and sixth as a Wildcat.
