Four named to U.S. team for World Jr.
GOLFWEEK STAFF

Bud Cauley of Jacksonville, Fla., Wesley Graham of Port Orange, Fla., Cody Gribble of Dallas, Texas, and Gregor Main of Danville, Calif., will represent the United States in the 2008 World Junior Golf Team Championship June 18-21 in Toyota City, Japan.  

Lamar men’s coach Brian White will lead the team, which is looking for its first victory since winning in 2004 and 2005.

Cauley, No.  24 in the Golfweek/Scratch Players World Amateur Rankings, represented the United States in the 2006 Junior Ryder Cup, and is a 2006 and 2007 first-team AJGA Rolex All-American. The Alabama signee won the 2008 Terra Cotta Invitational.

Graham, No. 1 in the Golfweek/Titleist Junior Rankings, reached the semifinals of the 2007 U.S. Junior and the quarterfinals in 2006. The two-time AJGA Rolex All-American won the Florida State Championship in both 2004 and 2005.  He has signed a letter of intent with Florida State.

Gribble, No. 5 in the Golfweek/Titleist Junior Rankings, is a two-time Canon Cup participant and a 2006 and 2007 AJGA Rolex All-American.  He won the 2007 Byron Nelson Junior as well as the 2007 Western Junior.

Main, No. 7 in the Golfweek/Titleist Junior Rankings, is a two-time AJGA Rolex All-American and won the 2007 Ping Invitational.  He has signed with UCLA.

Team USA will leave San Francisco for Japan on June 13.  Practice rounds and a sightseeing tour will take place before the tournament’s first round on June 18.
